LIBERTAS – the search for inner freedom | New album by Äneas Humm & Doriana Tchakarova
How do you achieve inner freedom? Baritone Äneas Humm and pianist Doriana Tchakarova address this question on their album LIBERTAS. With rarely performed songs by Beethoven, Schubert, Amy Beach and Marx, they explore the struggle for artistic independence – a theme that is reflected both in the works and in the lives of the composers. The booklet also features photographs of the textile art of 95-year-old Regula Humm, who was recently celebrated at ART Basel and is Äneas Humm’s grandmother.
