Mikhail Pochekin plays works of the heart

Together with the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, Mikhail Pochekin recorded Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5 in A-major, K. 219, in Ludwigsburg in December 2020, adding the Sinfonia Concertante for violin, viola and orchestra in E-flat major, K. 364, as a soloist duo with his brother Ivan Pochekin.

The two violinists have been making music together since early childhood and formed the Pochekin-Duo in 2011. In order to expand their repertoire, Ivan decided to learn to play the viola in addition to the violin. Thus, the brothers were able to record one of their heartfelt works for both instruments, the Sinfonia Concertante, preceded by the Violin Concerto No.5, also a long-loved work on the label Hänssler Classics.
