Sounding time-bridge: Vadim Gluzman connects Beethoven and Schnittke

On his latest album, Vadim Gluzman combines the Beethoven Violin Concerto op. 61 with Alfred Schnittke’s cadenzas from the 1970s, which are rarely heard, and thus creates a musical-architectural link to the Schnittke Violin Concerto No. 3 from 1978.

On this recording, released on the label BIS records, Vadim Gluzman is once again accompanied by his long-time musical companions, the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester conducted by James Gaffigan.
